I’m on a trip! It’s my first non-work-related trip to the continental US since well before September 11. I convinced myself I just couldn’t afford travel, and then I realized all those years had passed and there were too many things I hadn’t yet done. The lockdown made me more determined than ever to make this happen, and now here I am in Oakland, California. Which is a lot more affordable, even with airfare, than a staycation at home. I keep forgetting I live in Hawaii, which lately is very expensive to vacation in.

This week’s questions are inspired by this trip.
